পলিটিক্যাল সাইন্স পরে রান্না শেখা যায় একথা তো এখন মানতেই হবে, টপার যখন বলেছে, নিশ্চয় হয়।
আমি কিন্তু মোটেই হাসাহাসি করছি না, আর বিহার বলেই কি হাসতে হবে? ভোট দিয়ে যাদের আমরা আমাদের মাথায় চড়ে নাচ করবার সুযোগ করে দিই, সেই নেতা নেত্রীরা অনেকবার-ই এমন কথা বলে থাকেন, তাই এই মেয়েটির পলিটিক্যাল ক্যারিয়ার যে অতি উজ্বল তা আমি এখুনি অনুমান করতে পারছি।
আর ও একটা কারণে আমি হাসছি না। আমরা বাঙালীরা নিজেকে জগত সভার শ্রেষ্ঠ আসনে বসালেও, নিজেদের প্রতি আমাদের কোনো আত্মবিশ্বাস নেই। তাই কারণে অকারণে আমরা অন্যদেরকে অনুকরণ করি। সিনেমাতে দক্ষিন, অনর কিলিং-এ উত্তর, এ-তো আমাদের এখন প্রায় অভ্যাস হয়ে গেছে।
তবুও পড়াশুনো নিয়ে আমাদের কিন্তু হেব্বি গর্ব ছিল, হাজার হোক বিদ্যা সাগরের দেশের বলে কতা।

ভোটের সময় ভিন গাঁ থেকে অস্ত্র-সস্ত্র আমদানি করা হয়েছিল, আবার তার মোকাবিলা করতে রাজবাহিনী-ও প্রচুর নজরদারি চালিয়েছিল , শুনেছি আমদানি আর নজরদারি দুটোই নাকি বিহার-আদর্শ অনুসারে হয়েছিল।
আর সেই কারণেই আমার রীতিমত দুশ্চিন্তা হচ্ছে, অনুকরণের যা ইতিহাস আমাদের, তাতে আবার পড়শী রাজ্যের পড়াশুনা-র মানদন্ডটাও আবার অনুকরণ করে না ফেলি!
তাই তো আমি একদম হাসতে পারছিনা।
আর সেই কারণেই আমার রীতিমত দুশ্চিন্তা হচ্ছে, অনুকরণের যা ইতিহাস আমাদের, তাতে আবার পড়শী রাজ্যের পড়াশুনা-র মানদন্ডটাও আবার অনুকরণ করে না ফেলি!
তাই তো আমি একদম হাসতে পারছিনা।
You have to accept the fact that political science is the 'new home science', after-all the TOPPER SAID SO, it's all about cooking.
However, I am not laughing at all. Why should I?
Only because, the topper is from Bihar?
We often choose such politicians who excel in talking rubbish. So, I can predict, she will be a 'great' politician in near future.
There is another reason for my seriousness. We, Bengalese, think, we are the best. Although, in real scenario, we just copy from everywhere; we copy the cinemas from south, honour-killing ritual from north (please don't get personal).
During last Legislative Assembly election, weapons and bombs were imported from Bihar (if news reports are to be believed). As counteraction, the central force also followed the Bihar-model to control the situation.
However, still now, we are very proud about our education system, after-all Bengal is the motherland of some famous laureates.
In contradiction of such legacy, there is also a long history about our copy-cat nature. In the same way if we again copy the standard of education from our neighbour state, what will happen?
That's why, I cannot laugh.

The schools are closed for almost 2 months now, previously the total hours of learning in school was more than the ICSE, now it became lesser due to the vacation]
